Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Murphy and I am a bass player just like you. And first thing, I'd like to thank my son Andrew for taking this photo (where I'm trying hard to deliver my best Blue Steel).

Anyway. I have been playing bass for a while. My obsession always used to be ME playing and writing, ME getting better and touring and recording and all that jazz. But after my time ended in Sugar Ray, I have a new obsession....

It's to help others reach their dreams.

That's my new goal. To help as many bass players as possible get past the frustration and angst of being stuck and frustrated that they CAN'T do what is in their head and hands that they WANT to do.

So, to that end, I first wrote a book covering all the basics. Now, I'm obsessed with coming up with the best lessons on earth to help bass players learn to:

GROOVE

MOVE
BELIEVE
PREPARE

and

PERFORM

And I think I've done it. It took about a full year of working almost every day with a beta group to figure it out.
